Multi-player Playboy Online Slot launched

Microgaming recently announced the release of the Multi-player version of its popular Playboy Slot and that it will run a network-wide competition to celebrate at casinos like Betway in the month of November.

The company entered into a licensing agreement with Playboy in February of 2013 and launched the Playboy Branded Live Dealer studio, which was a world first. Six months later they followed the launch up with the release of the Playboy online slot that caused a stir amongst fans and fast became a player favourite with its sexy graphics and potential for generous rewards.

The only thing that was lacking was the ability to use the slot for multi-player games and slots tournaments, which Microgaming is now addressing by adding the multi-player version to its extensive games portfolio, not only extending the games reach but also opening the iconic Playboy brand up to an entirely new group of players.

The new multi-player version is based on the existing Play Slot with its sexy characters, stylish animation and fitting soundtrack but has been adapted to a 5×3 reel, 20 fixed payline multi-player game that can accommodate up to 5 other players, allowing them to play the same game while enjoying social elements like in-game chat functionality.

In addition, the Multi-player Playboy slot also features a bonus thermometer which when kept active in the base game, gives players VIP access to the exciting and exclusive free spins feature and the opportunity to earn even more rewards.

Microgaming’s Multi-player Games Product Manager James Ford commented that Playboy is one of the most renown global brands and has a massive 97% unaided worldwide brand awareness, so to be able to bring this iconic brand to the slots arena and in multi-player format is very exciting.

Playboy’s President of Global Licensing, Matt Nordby echoed these sentiments, commenting that Playboy values its partnership with the software giant and is delighted to be able to build off the success off the Playboy themed Live Dealer suite and online slot to further enhance the brand’s offering in the online casino sphere.

Along with the launch in November, Microgaming powered properties like Betway Casino will offer players on the multi-player network the chance to win one of five one year memberships to the Playboy Club in London. Now that’s something worth playing for! Watch this space for more details when the promotion is live!

How do Loyalty Programs Work at Online Casinos?

VIP status

If you’re new to playing at online casinos you may wonder how their loyalty programs work. Unlike at land based casinos where you have to physically sign-up to a players club, entry at most online casinos is generally automatic and once you make your deposit and start playing for real money you will earn loyalty points. The more you play, the more points you will accumulate and the quicker you’ll advance through the various VIP tiers of the program.

Even at the lowest loyalty tier you will be eligible for rewards like match deposit bonuses, free spins and various promotional giveaways. As you progress through the loyalty program’s tiers you will reap better and better benefits.

At some programs you will be required to keep wagering regularly in order to retain a specific level of VIP status, so make sure you read all of the terms and conditions attached to the one at the casino you play at in order to ascertain what is required of you and avoid nasty surprises.

best loyalty programs online

Also be aware of the fact that you will not earn the same number of loyalty points on every game you play. Online slots, speciality games, scratch cards and numbers games like Keno generally earn you more points per $/€/£ 1 wagered thanks to the higher house edge that these games carry. Games like Blackjack, Roulette and some Video Poker variants will earn you lesser points as the house edge can be lowered by placing certain bets or playing according to sound basic game play strategy. If you’re unsure as to how many points you’ll earn for the game/s you play, check out the listings in the loyalty section of your player account, or contact the customer support team.

Once you’ve earned your points you will be able to exchange them for real casino cash and at some, for real cash prizes. You will also have the opportunity to cash in on additional offers and rewards and occasionally chances to earn 2, 3, 4 and 5 times the number of loyalty points when you play specific games or in certain tournaments.

At the higher level of VIP status you may be rewarded with your own casino host, faster withdrawal times and even some real world trips and prizes.

As you can see from the above discussion, loyalty programs function in a very simple manner but do present you with more rewards than ever before, and the best part is all you have to do is play.

Knowing When to Let It Ride

When compared to other casino games, the Let it Ride Poker variant is relatively new to casinos when compared with more traditional games like blackjack and roulette that enjoy a long casino history, being added to most game offerings in 1993. Since its addition it has enjoyed a rapid rise in popularity thanks to the fact that it is easy to learn yet remains a very interesting and highly entertaining game.

The game requires players to play against the house rather than other players or the dealer and you will be required to make two major decisions in order to be successful in this game. Here we’ll look at the correct way to play by deciding when you should “let it ride” by actually placing a wager and when you should sit out.

There are a number of scenarios to consider in this game, but let’s consider the simplest first – if you are holding four cards you should look to see if you can make any hand that is a pair of tens or better. If you do then you should always keep your bet on the table. Of course any four card flush draw is also a keeper that you should play as well as any open-ended straight draw. If however you don’t have at least a single card in your hand that is of a ten value or higher your wager will inevitably break even rather than earning you anything.

In scenarios where you have three cards you need to be more cautious when it comes to letting it ride as you’ll have fewer reasons to do so. Hands where you have a pair of tens are better are an obvious one to retain, as is a hand that has any three cards to make a Royal Flush and any three consecutive cards of three or higher.

For every gap you encounter in a three cards, straight-flush draw, you will require a single high card valued at 10 or better to justify playing the hand. This means that if you have a Ten, Nine and Seven of Spades, you should play it as your ten will make up for the gap, the same applies to a hand comprised of a Jack, Ten and Seven as there are two gaps but two high cards. A hand consisting of a Ten, Eight and Six or Jack, Eight and Seven however should not be played as there are two gaps and only one high card.

As you can see from the above, there are many scenarios where you should “Let it Ride” when playing this game and you will profit from these bets, but not all hands should be played in this way. Knowing the difference will have a significant impact on your bankroll and overall long term profitability.
